Summary (from Goodreads):

Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined. Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan’s life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home. When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she’s known is about to change. But she could never have guessed the truth – that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she’ll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

My review:

Spooooooooilerssss :>

Okay, so I’ve had this book in my shelf for a month so I thought of reading it and oh my God! It was really good! The story amazed me and got my attention. It is my first time to dwell on a faery series. Never thought they could be interesting as vampires, caster, wizards and angels. Okay, I love the plot, the characters are amazing and overall, it is a good read.

Okay, so I’m on team Ash. Never liked those third wheel on the love triangle like Jacob, Simon, Gale etc. Although I never hated them also, I just want to side with the main guy character. So, Ash is a cutie. He’s got an athletic built, I guess. Not much of a body builder and not too skinny. I love that. My typical guy. And he’s oozing with mysteriousness. More likely to be attracted to him. On the contrary, I didn’t want to ignore Puck. Puck is cool, he’s funny and way too easy going. I love him too, though I prefer Ash over him. Still he’s got his own charm. So I love Ash and Puck! Yipeee!

Meghan is really brave for saving Ethan. She doesn’t know where to find him and what she’ll encounter and still she went out and fulfilled her quest. Though I must say she’s a bit stupid for not realizing that Puck kinda liked her. She still went on for Ash. Oh well, I think it always go out that way with best friends. You’ll always be the second choice even after putting her/him as your first.

I love how Meghan and Ash seemed to be in love with each other. Whoaaaa. The are two different faeries, one from the Seelie Court, Summer, and one from the Unseelie Court, Winter. I don’t know what will happen if they pursue their romance. I wish to know. I love their peek of rebellion, just like Romeo and Juliet LOL their theme song must be, Against All Odds or Us Against the World LOLOLOL

I would love to visit Nevernever and experience being a faery. I bet it’s good to live for thousands of years, with you family by your side, living with you. It’s seems to be a nice place and I would love to meet satyrs, gremlins, ogres, pixies, mermaids and Grimalkin, the talking cat. I bet it’s a paradise living there LOL but of course, I do not like the bargaining thingy that they do. You have to ask for something and sacrifice something important for you to have it, like memories, talents, your first born child and even your name LOL! What would they do with that?

And so, I’m moving on to read the next book, Iron Daughter, and would have to write another review about it afterwards. You guys should definitely read this. It’s so good. Ash and Puck are both ravishing and lovely. Meghan is brave and beautiful. You will love it!
