Summary (from Goodreads):

After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson is finding his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any normal friends. But things don’t stay quiet for long.

Percy soon discovers there is trouble at Camp Half-Blood: the magical borders that protect Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. To save the camp, Percy needs the help of his best friend, Grover, who has been taken prisoner on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters, the dangerous waters Greek heroes have sailed for millennia. Only today, the Sea of Monsters goes by a new name: The Bermuda Triangle.

Together with his friends, Percy must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the Island of the Cyclopes or Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed. But first, Percy will learn a stunning new secret about his family, one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon’s son is an honor or simply a cruel joke.

My Review:

The second book is as awesome as the first. Usually, first books are better then the next books are just getting worse. But in the Percy Jackson series, it maintained the story line and he narrated it so coolly. i love their adventure and the idea of Percy having a step brother. LOL, I won’t exploit more. READ IT. READ IT. READ ITTTTTT!!

I give it a five star because I love it. I love everything about it! Despite that Kronos is being awakened or being resurrected from the death caused by Zeus, it still is pretty amazing. I am creeped out and I couldn’t wait to read the next book. I’m having my hands on it right now, actually. I’ve got the whole series and so I won’t be left hanging.

I just wanted to share that I prolly wanna believe in Greek Gods and Goddesses. You might call me insane but yeah, I researched everything and the Percy Jackson series got it right! Me and my friends picked like a Goddess who we like best and who we’d like to be. I picked Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty. I just love her name and her background. LOL. She seems kinda slutty but then, she is the Goddess of Beauty. What else do you expect? Though, Aphrodite isn’t much of a character in the book. I like Poseidon among the “Big Three”. Because ever since, I like the element “Water”. If given a chance I’d like to manipulate it and have it as my own power. LOL Weird but yeahh, I’m honest.

So you guys, read the series and enjoy the story. Which of the Gods and Goddesses would you like to be? And why? Think of it and you’ll just have fun reading and researching on the web about it. Have fun!
